Essential works to overhead power cables are due to be carried out by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) between September and December 2026.

As part of the works, extensive scaffolding will be constructed across part of the Zebon Community Centre car park. This will mean that a number of parking spaces will be unavailable and vehicle access in and out of the car park will be restricted for periods during the works.

To provide access for SSEN and its contractors, some gates and access points may also need to remain open temporarily. This is necessary to allow the works to be carried out safely.

The works will affect hirers, centre users and visitors. Where possible, we ask visitors to consider walking or car sharing, and to allow additional time in case alternative parking is required. Anyone parking on nearby roads should please be considerate of our neighbours and ensure access to properties and for emergency vehicles remains clear.

Pedestrian access to Zebon Community Centre will remain available, although this may occasionally be managed by the SSEN ground team for safety reasons.

Works are due to begin on Monday 28 September, starting with the delivery of materials followed by construction of the scaffolding. The works are currently expected to continue until early December 2026.
