Using Adobe Acrobat for PDFs
You’ll need Adobe Acrobat to view and print some of our documents, which are in PDF format. Adobe’s website can help if you’d like to read PDF documents with a screen reader.
You can change the website’s text size and font type using your internet browser. If you find that the words on our websites are too small, or difficult to read because of the font they’re in, you can change them. How you do this depends on which browser you’re using.
For Chrome: click on the customise button (three small dots) in the top-right of the browser window, go to ‘Settings’, scroll down to ‘Appearance’ and you’ll see the option to change font size within ‘Font Size’. You can even change the Page Zoom level from here.
For Internet Explorer: to use the Internet Explorer zoom feature press “Ctrl” and “+” to increase the zoom level and “Ctrl” “-” to decrease the level of zoom.
To change the default Internet Explorer browser text size:
Open the”Page” menu using your mouse or by pressing the “Alt” and “P” keys. Select the “Text Size” option with your mouse or press the letter “X”. You can then choose your text size by clicking on it or use the up and down arrow keys to select it and then press the “Enter” key.
For Firefox: click the menu button (three small lines) top right. The customisation menu will open and you will see the zoom controls at the top.
Use the + button to zoom in, and the – button to zoom out. The number in the middle is the current zoom level – click it to reset the zoom to 100%. You can also see the current zoom level in the address bar.
